Kim Portnoy is Director of Composition and an Associate Professor of Music at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
In 1986 Mr. Portnoy joined the faculty of Webster University as a lecturer in music. He was appointed as an instructor in the music department in 1988 and promoted to Assistant Professor in 1992, then to Associate Professor. His current teaching duties include jazz improvisation, jazz scoring and arranging, orchestration, and composition.
